God-fearing people who’ve tithed and prayed fervently might end up meeting their fate is any number of grisly ways.

Ironically, thoroughly evil people might simply pass away in their sleep, without suffering, just peacefully drift away into death’s embrace.

Why has God made death so easy for those who seem to have strayed from Its rules, and yet frequently so horrible for those who’ve committed to and worshipped It?

She is not religious, is unsure about god/gods, so religious comfort is out. She is not afraid of dying, she is afraid of the unknowns after she dies. What can I say to her that will help the unknown seem a little less scary?
