Personaly I think the death penalty and abortion are both barbaric acts the death penalty means that the people who carry it out are no better (moraly) than the person being executed and as with abortion it is not the mothers choice to kill.
How is the person who kills that criminal any different to the person that they execute how is the court that determined that this would be the mans fate innocent anyone who decides to take someones life is to all intent and purpose a murderer just like the one the courts have killed.

In this case, there is no doubt about the murderers because they confessed. However, soon after they were charged the US Supreme Court ruled against juveniles getting the death penalty. I am curious what the general public feels/thinks. One of my very close family members was ruthlessly murdered by 2 teenage boys. This was after the same boys beat an elderly man to death in a neighboring county. Thanks for any input!

I have mixed feelings on the death penalty. I am against abortion because it takes a life, and the same for the death penalty. HOWEVER- I think the death penalty is a lot more ethical than holding a person in a 8×8 cell for the rest of their lives. I’m for supervised community work and hard labor over life in prison, definately. There’s got to be a way to punish criminals, but by killing them, are we any better than them?

They don’t have to be paid or housed. It gives them the opportunity to give back to society. It is a waste of human resources to not use them. However, the question remains: do all those benefits make the action of using death row prisoners MORAL?
The question here is not whether you think that the death penalty is justifiable. Also, this is in regards to using them with or WITHOUT consent.
