Would a wrongful death suit be filed against the insurance company or the drunk driver that caused it? 6 comments

death
It’s so clear now! asked:

My father was killed by a drunk driver who also died.

Should the wrongful death suit be filed against the drunk driver’s estate or his insurance company or my father’s insurance company?

Also, is there any tips that you know of that will help me get maximum payout from the insurance company. I don’t want to be cheated by them.
The state is North Carolina.

Can you start probate court without death certificates? 2 comments

death
Lindsay R asked:

My mother in law passed away suddenly in January. We live in Arizona. I was wondering, can you go start the proceedings with probate court without the death certificates. We haven’t received them yet and I was hoping someone could give me an answer on what we can do. My mother in law left the house, verbally, to my husband. No one else in the family wants it and isn’t going to fight for it. She did not leave a will. She had the papers but unfortunately did get to finish them. Any ideas or any referrals to a good lawyer to ask?

How can republicans be for the death penalty and against abortion? 32 comments

death
limetang asked:

The are against abortion for the same moral reasons that someone would be against the death penalty.

Personaly I think the death penalty and abortion are both barbaric acts the death penalty means that the people who carry it out are no better (moraly) than the person being executed and as with abortion it is not the mothers choice to kill.
How is the person who kills that criminal any different to the person that they execute how is the court that determined that this would be the mans fate innocent anyone who decides to take someones life is to all intent and purpose a murderer just like the one the courts have killed.

What is the text of a death warrant or execution warrant? Comments Off

death
Ylanne Sorrows asked:

I’ve looked all around the Internet, but can anyone provide me with the sample text of a death warrant, otherwise known as an execution warrant, which is a legal document issued permitting the death of a condemned inmate? In particular, the text of a federal death warrant?
I’m a crime writer, not a sicko.
